Terms of use
Terms of use for Project Fingerprint.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 to use the private map. You must be at least 18 to create a Network profile or use social features.
2. Current acceptance
The current preference terms are version 2026-08-31-preferences-v1. You must accept them before entering the private app or submitting core preference votes. Older clients may sign in, but cannot submit preference votes until the current version is accepted.
3. Your account
Keep control of your email, vault password, and connected devices. You are responsible for activity through your account. Because Project Fingerprint cannot read your vault, a forgotten vault password cannot be reset.
4. Your content and votes
You own your content. You give Project Fingerprint the limited rights needed to store, process, and show content under your settings. Eligible core pair votes are account-linked service data used for future aggregate analysis and are retained until account deletion, subject to legal and backup limits.
5. Acceptable use
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, expose private data, distribute malware, evade access controls, scrape at harmful scale, or use the service for high-stakes decisions about another person.
6. Product limits
Fingerprint connections are based on limited choices. They are not medical advice, a diagnosis, a factual judgment, or a guarantee about a person.
7. Moderation
We can remove content or suspend access to protect people, enforce these terms, or meet legal duties. You can appeal by email to appeals@projectfingerprint.com.
8. Service terms
The service is provided as available. Keep a local export of important data. To the extent allowed by law, Project Fingerprint is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
